Yke Josepha Rypkema Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Yke Josepha Rypkema in Downers Grove, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 5, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johann Lingemann and Wilhelmina Lingemann; her husband Jouke N. Rypkema; her daughter Irene Heffern (Jim); and her sister Ria Bordonis.
She is survived by: her children, Wilmet Rypkema, Patricia Pratapas (Steve), Stephen Rypkema (Suzanne), Carolyn Emanuel (John) and Virginia Lattner (Tim); and her grandchildren, Nathan Lytle, Chelsea Lytle, Leia Meerdink, Katy Leman, Jessica Weirtz and Julia Pratapas.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (1025 E Madison St, Lombard, IL 60148). A burial will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at 1S151 Winfield Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189.
