Though Virginia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Rinza and Ferdinand Kortanek; and her brothers, Ferdinand "Freddy" Kortanek and Col. Gregory Kortanek (Mary). She is survived by: her husband Tom Skubich; her daughters, Kim Moustis (John) and Lori Skubich (Mike Holik); her grandchildren, Jessica Schultz, Erik Schultz (Madeline) and John Moustis, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Jillian and Connor Schultz.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4343 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A Mass was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Divine Savior Catholic Church (6700 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60516).
