We bid farewell to Simone Vucko of Downers Grove, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Simone touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Juro Lorkovic and Catherine Lorkovic; her brother Jean Lorkovic; and her grandson Kevin Glavac. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Vucko; and her children, Kathleen Glavac (Anton), Joseph, Kristeen Wilber (Joseph) and Stephanie.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markiewicz Funeral Home (108 E Illinois St, Lemont, IL 60439). The lying in state was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Slovenian Catholic Mission (14246 Main St, Lemont, IL 60439). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
