“I have been thinking about the Gilbert Avenue gang since our grandson just relocated to Downers Grove. Our family (Hultman) lived two doors down from Bobbie (Roberta) & my parents later lived next door. I babysat for John & Sandi.. Mom & Bobbie & the neighborhood ladies shared coffee in the mornings (& sometimes martinis in the afternoons.) I always remember Bobbie coming in the front door yelling “Yoo-hoo!” We couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor. She will be missed.”
