He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Katherine Buhrmaster; his children, James Buhrmaster, Thomas Buhrmaster and William Buhrmaster (Elizabeth); his granddaughters, Christine Buhrmaster-Reniff (Ryan), Carolyn Gessner (Scott), Michelle Mataragas (Peter) and Hannah Buhrmaster; his great grandchildren, Maya and Henry Reniff; his brother Bruce Buhrmaster (late Virginia); his niece Lisa Krachtus (William); and his nephew Bruce Buhrmaster (Rose).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4343 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray's memory to the Mid-Continent Railway Museum "Wooden Car Restoration Fund" (midcontinent.org) or the Lake States Railway Historical Association (lsrha.org).
