Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Natividad V Balagtas of Downers Grove, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 86, on February 9, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Valdes and Carmen Valdes (Coll); and her siblings, Raphael, Mercedes, Manuel, Benito and Jose.
She is survived by: her children, Cecile Raffin (Richard), Lisa Wittmer (Mike), Lynn Gartlan (Robert), Joseph Balagtas (Arlene) and Christine Balagtas. She is also survived by her 25 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4343 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (4801 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A funeral Mass will be held on Sunday, February 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Community Adult Day Center (https://www.communityadultdaycenter.org), a local program near and dear to the Balagtas Family, would be greatly appreciated.
