She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Gus; her children, Paula Vlahakos, James (Hannah) and Christopher Athas (Kristin); her grandchildren, Sofia Perrin (Mark), Christina Vlahakos, Georgiana Vlahakos, Gus Athas, Mina Athas, Samuel Athas, Penelope Athas and Constantine Athas; her brother Ernest Carres (late Margaret); her niece Kristi Ann Landorf (Eric); and her great-nephews, Arthur James and George Landorf.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home (10501 W Cermak Rd, Westchester, IL 60154). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church (2501 S Wolf Rd, Westchester, IL 60154).
