He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Barbara; his children, Tommy, Jimmy, Nancy and Leon John; his grandchild Caleigh; and his siblings, Sallie Warzecha (late Daniel) and Sam Pieprzyca (Lottie Bates).

Visitation was held on Monday, July 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hallowell & James Funeral Home (301 75th St, Downers Grove, IL 60516). A prayer was held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Parkinson's Foundation appreciated.
