“Judy and I met on our first day in college. Throughout more than 50 years, our friendship never waned despite the fact that our lives were quite different. Judy, of course, stayed in the Chicago area focusing on Tom, her children, and then her grandchildren. I was often working overseas. But love can endure and Judy certainly made that her priority, and not just for me. Whether she was enjoying Paris with me, or I was at her home in Downers Grove, Judy was someone I wanted to be with.”
