He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hoyt and Dora Hoyt (Henry); his wife Ruth Ann Highfill; and his siblings, Bill Hoyt (Betty), Ione Czaia (Virgil), Milton Hoyt (Helen) and Hope Blackorby (Louie).
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Vinson (Jeff) and Dale Hoyt (Jackie); his grandchildren, MaTyka Kulp (Kevin), JoAnna McAnulty (Will), MaTyna Fessler (Chris) and Alan Hoyt (Linley); his great grandchildren, Shelby, Hayden Kulp, Cheyenne, Addison, Evan Fessler, Ellee and Russell Hoyt; and his pet Maggie.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dow Southern Baptist Church (24735 Dow Rd, Dow, IL 62022). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dow Southern Baptist Church.
