We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2023, at the age of 93, Jean A. Bertels of Dorsey, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Buhs (Meyer) and Edwin Buhs; her husband Eldor Louis Bertels; her son-in-law James Oehler; and her brother Donald.

She is survived by: her children, Joan Brown (Gary), Richard Bertels (Diana) and Donna Oehler; her siblings, Maxine Sauerwein (Paul), Larry Buhs (Sue) and Robert Buhs (Carol); and her sister-in-law Lotus Buhs (Donald). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Emmaus Lutheran Church and or VITAS Hospice.
