With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Herbert Elmer Heaton of Dorsey, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Herbert left this world on March 11, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Heaton and Pearl Heaton (Wehling); and his siblings, Thelma Cuvar, Janet DeGonia, Ileen Edwards, Dorothy White, Lawrence Heaton, Jerry Heaton, Albert Heaton and Elmer Heaton.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Heaton (Rains) of Dorsey, IL; his children, Karen Heaton-Sheets of Edwardsville, IL and Herb Heaton (Dawn Sheikh) of Edwardsville, IL; and his sister Virginia Thomas (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Zion Lutheran Church "School Building Fund" in Bethalto, IL. Keep Herbert "Herb"'s legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
