He was predeceased by: his parents, William D Bertels and Minnie P Bertels (Johnson); his wife Norma; his parents-in-law, Aden and Virginia Miller (Grizzle); his brother-in-law Aden Wm Miller (Bill); his siblings, Leonard Bertels (Edna May), Lena Rust (Ed) and Robert Bertels; and his daughter-in-law Cathy Bertels.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Melinda Ludwig (Ricky), Drs Kyle Wright (Bo), Nicholas Bertels (Becca), Ethan Wright (Tiffany), Megan Wright (Hadley) and Lena; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Quinn Bertels and Josephine Ludwig of Wyoming; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Bertels and Linda Miller; his stepgrandson Billy DeConcini; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Will and Dylan DeConcini.
