It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Bertels (Dorsey, Illinois), who passed away on January 21, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John August Bertels and Florence Bertels (Eden); his spouse Ruth Ann Balmer (Schueler); his children, Tim Bertels (Heidi), Laurie Edwards (Terry) and John Bertels (Christine); and his spouse JoAnn Bertels (Crites). He was also cherished by companion and favorite dog, "A." Allen was preceded in death by the love of his life, JoAnn Bertels, and his parents.
