Richard Leon Porterfield Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Leon Porterfield of Dongola, Illinois, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Porterfield and Bessie Porterfield (Lawrence); his stepfather Clyde Hastings; and his siblings, Barney Porterfield, Darrell Porterfield, Ronnie Joe Porterfield and Carimena Capps.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Glasford; his children, Stephen Porterfield (Charlotte) and Trisha Porterfield; his grandchildren, Danielle McKenzie (Will) and Gregory Porterfield; and his great grandchildren, McKenna McKenzie and Raelynn McKenzie. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorials may be made to Christian Chapel Cemetery.
