Marilyn Jones Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Jones of Dongola, Illinois, born in Jonesboro, Illinois, who passed away on December 18, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Elkins and Ina Elkins (Foster); her husband Cliff Jones; and her siblings, Carolyn Ferguson, Frank and Larry Elkins.

She is survived by: her children, Mitch Bryant of Freeport, FL, Mike Bryant (Lee Anne) of Leland, NC, Tony Bryant of Jonesboro, IL, Melissa Winchester (Jason) of Carbondale, IL and Sylvia Needham (Eric) of Dongola, IL; her stepchildren, Janet Jones, Julie Leonard and David Jones; her son Steve Watson (Teresa) of Holden Beach, NC; her brothers, Freddie Elkins of New York and Darrell Elkins (Linda) of Elgin, IL; and her sister-in-law Jan Elkins of Elgin, IL. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews she loved as her own and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dongola United Pentecostal Church to help further their ministry for the homebound.
