She was predeceased by: her husband Robert R. Tomczak; her grandson Gerald Byerly; her siblings, Ted, Bob and Geri; and her parents, John Jackovich and Anna Jackovich.
She is survived by: her children, Julie McLaughlin (Jeff), Cindy Byerly (late Jerry), Pam Knowles (Tom) and Kim Goldsworthy (Rich); her grandchildren, Jeana McLaughlin (Ashley Clendenny), Jamie Gasvoda (Ryan), Jonathan Byerly (Autumn), Bradley Knowles (Andie), Adam Knowles (Amber), Matthew Knowles (Taylor), Rich Goldsworthy (Karyn) and Meagan Goldsworthy (Matt Conneen); her great grandchildren, Ben, Collin, Brooklyn, Brynn, Bailey, Auden, Owen and Richie; and her siblings, Paul and Connie.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, appreciated.
