He was predeceased by: his brothers, Charles Filbert and Ronald Filbert; and his parents, Charles Filbert and Lillian Filbert. He is survived by: his wife Joan C. Filbert; his children, Thomas Filbert (Melissa) and Lory Hlavka (William); his grandchildren, Emily Jeffress (Jared), Billy Hlavka, Logan Filbert (Delaney), Stephanie Hlavka, Nolan Filbert, Douglas Hlavka and Abigail Filbert; his great grandchildren, Remington, Willow, Weston and Clayton; his sister-in-law Joyce Staecker (Robert); his nieces and nephews, Alicia, Sandi, Ronald Jr., Tracy and Johnny; and his cousin Kathleen Nowak (Donald). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
In memory of Mr. Filbert, memorial donations may be given to South Suburban Humane Society or Kitties for Keeps Rescue.
