He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Helen Appleman, Sr. (Jones); his son Mark Appleman; his granddaughter Jennifer Taylor; and his siblings, Fred Appleman and Janet Faley (Mick).
He is survived by: his wife Lois Appleman of Dixon; his children, Joan Moreau (Richard) of Decatur, Barbara Appleman Graham of Cuba, Cathy Taylor of Dixon, Joyce Kreger (Mark) of Dixon and William "Matthew" Appleman of Dixon; his grandchildren, Justin Moreau (Stefanie), Erin Hudson (Josh), John Tierney (Kim), Colby Tierney (Heather), Brady Tierney (Ashley Simpson), Ted Taylor (Tracie), Lance Taylor, Tiffany Willstead (Brian), Jarrett Ludwig (Lora), Eleni Cimino (Dave) and Caleb Appleman (Sarah); his brothers, John "Jack" Appleman (Julie) and Robert "Bob" Appleman (Lynn); and his sister-in-law Shirley Appleman. He is also survived by 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
