With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Fenton Wadsworth of Dixon, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on August 6, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herbert and Ruth Wadsworth (McClanahan); his brothers, Wilson, Richard and Jim Wadsworth (Karen); his granddaughter Rachael Wadsworth; and his stepgrandson Matthew Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Ortgiesen of Dixon; his sons, Tim Wadsworth (Vikki) of Dixon, Tom Wadsworth (Nancy) of Dixon and Tony Wadsworth (Debra) of Rockford, IL; and his stepchildren, Gaye Miller (Bill) of Plover, WI and John Ortgiesen of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Instead of flowers, he requested that donations be given to the Sue Wadsworth Youth Fund at Immanuel Lutheran in Dixon.
