He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Diehl (Huffman) and Esper Diehl; and his siblings, Ralph, Darrell Diehl and Rogene Koch.

He is survived by: his children, Ken Diehl (Sheri) of Oregon, IL, Denny Diehl of Myrtle Beach, SC, Randy Diehl (Jennifer) of Dixon, IL and Tami Flessner (Tim) of Florence, AZ; his sister Maxine Strohecker of Oregon, IL; and his great grandchild Connie Diehl. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

A memorial has been established.
