He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Whelan (Betty); his sons, Lee R. Kanzler of Richmond, GA and Eric C. Kanzler of Dixon, IL.; his grandson Justin T. Kanzler; his nieces and nephews, Thomas Kanzler Jr. (Dawn), Timothy L. Kanzler, Anita Kanzler of Dixon, IL. and Corrina (Lyle Smith) of Dixon, IL.; his uncle Robert McConnell of Dixon, IL.; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Christine Thompson of Las Vegas, NV, Agnes Jean Branham of Bellville, Lynn Meyer of Las Vegas, NV., Jesse Shanks of San Marcos, TX and Arthur Branham of Bellville, Ohio..
A Memorial has been established to St. Anne Catholic School in Dixon and the Dixon Veterans Memorial Park in Dixon.
