He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Orlie E. McConnaughay and Ernestine E. McConnaughay; his wife Susan Peile; his children, Elizabeth Kachur of Bentonville, AR, Deborah McConnaughay of WestChester, IL, Raymond McConnaughay (Lisa) of Carpentersville, IL, Shawn McConnaughay of Harrison, AR and James McConnaughay of Union, IL; his siblings, Trish Johnson (Stan) of Beach Creek, PA and Douglas McConnaughay (Patty) of Sterling, IL; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emmanuel McConnaughay. He was also cherished by many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
