He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Bess and Opal Bess (Otwell); his wife Helen Elaine Bess; his siblings, Mardel Bess, Norman Bess and Naomi Bullion; and his brother-in-law Charles Bullion.
He is survived by: his son Rick Bess of Bloomington, IL; and his brother Wyman Bess of Roanoke, TX.. He is also survived by one granddaughter he loved.
