She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice McCormick and Isabel McCormick; her husband Alfred Staelens; her parents-in-law, Andrew and Mary Staelens; her siblings, John McCormick (Mary Jane), Howard McCormick (Roberta), Mary "Mac" Buyers (Donald) and Rita Bishop (Terry); and her grandson Sean Staelens.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Staelens (Anne), Cindy Whitebread (Dennis), Patrica Buck, Mathew Staelens (Dianne) and Cean Embrey; and her grandchildren, Kathryn Lord (Tim), Margaret Digmann (Jeff), Mariah Staelens, Sarah Stoodley (Matt), Benjamin Whitebread, Adam Whitebread, Mark Buck (Amy), Erin Buck (David Stapenhorst), Gregory Buck (Michelle) and Megan Meinel (Ashton).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to St. Anne Catholic Church or Serenity Hospice.
