He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Heaton and Myrtle Heaton (Fisher); his wife Janice Kay Johnson; his daughter Julia Mae Heaton; and his siblings, Hazel Ellen Dalke-Miller, Frank Heaton, Glenn Arthur Heaton and Lloyd Edward Heaton.

He is survived by: his son James Heaton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Rock River Hospice and Home.
