She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray DeArvil and Annie DeArvil (Miller); her son Steve Hess; her stepfather Em Rorer; her brother Ken DeArvil; her half-sister Pam Brandt Michelle DeArvil; her aunt Doris Miller; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Hess (Bobbie) and Richard Hess.

She is survived by: her husband Donald Hess of Dixon; her sons, Scott Hess (Kelly) of Dixon and Daniel Hess of Dixon; her grandson Tyler Hess; her brother Bob DeArvil (Liz); her half-siblings, Royal, Kim Beekman (Bob), Shelley Rorer, Cindy Rorer and Dayle Altinger (Ron); and her sisters-in-law, Sharon DeArvil and Pat Hess.
