It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith Ellen Near of Dixon, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on November 18, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Koon and Grace Koon (Deininger); her husband Andrew Near; her daughter Julie Lahey; and her siblings, Jean Koon, Marjorie Maurer, Charles Koon and William Koon.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Near II (Carol) and Kristi Wipprecht (Stephen); her grandchildren, Megan Ayers (Ryan), Andrew Lahey (Katy), Joseph Near, Kristopher Wipprecht, Emily Warkenthien (Alex) and Kyle Wipprecht; and her great grandchildren, Derek Ayers, Madilyn Ayers, Logan Ayers and Anderson Lahey.
Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon.
