He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur C. Shoemaker and Mary Jane Shoemaker (Stomberg); and his siblings, Kathy Qualkinbush and Mark Shoemaker. He is survived by: his brother Brad Shoemaker (Yvette) of Eldora, IA; and his sister-in-law Maja Shoemaker of Oregon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Faith Christian School, Dixon High School Athletic Boosters, or Village of Progress.
