He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wendler and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Wendler (Berger); his wife Rose Ehrle; and his siblings, Arlene and Raymond.
He is survived by: his children, Sheri Miller (Jed) of Shoreline, WA, Lori Hartnett (Bob) of Lincolnshire, IL and Alan Wendler (Linda) of Carlsbad, CA; his grandchildren, Rachael Shah (Aalok), Lani Salazar (Tony), Aron Miller (Katie), Daniel Wendler (Elizabeth) and Dana Carbonneau (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Evan, Nolan Shah, Lily and Margot Carbonneau.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (110 E 3rd St, Dixon, IL 61021). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
