We are sad to announce that on January 29, 2023, at the age of 74, Eleanora Carr of Dixon, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Bates and Mattie Bates (Peal); her son Nathaniel Wiles; her grandson Deandre Blackwell; her siblings, Albert Bates, Eugene Bates, Frank Bates, John Bates, Quenora Peal and Mattie May; and her brother-in-law Harold Smith.
She is survived by: her children, L. C. Carr (Diojuana) of Dixon, Lenora Carr, Linda Altidor of Dixon, Leslie Carr of Washington, DC, Latina Carr, Leotis Carr of Chicago, Robert Wiles (Tawanna) of Chicago, Nicole Pegues (Andre) of Dixon, Luther Johnson of Dixon and Richard Johnson; and her siblings, Helen Smith, Margaret Bates, Dorothy Fitzpatrick (Dwight), Victoria Peal and Robert Bates (Sandra). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
