He was predeceased by: his parents, Otmer J. Lieving and Alice V. Lieving; his former wife Arlona L. Lieving (Roney); and his sisters, Judith A. Young and Virginia D. Lieving.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Long; his children, Arlona Fredrickson (Henry) and Jeffrey Lieving (Angela); his stepsons, Rob Long and Jeffrey Long; his grandchildren, Sarah Griner (Mike Lapinsky), Andrea Durden, Kelsey Gettle (Ryan), Christine Whitfield and Kaylee Hillinger (Derek); his great grandchildren, Noelle, Logan, Zander Griner, Delilah, William Gettle, Maxwell, Layla Whitfield, Ada, Myles and Isabel Hillinger; and his brother Joseph F. Lieving. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery (901 S Cross St, Sycamore, IL 60178).
