He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Harden and Frances Harden (Fiscal); and his siblings, Alvin Harden, Jr., William "Bill" Harden, Roger Harden, Lyle Harden, Joanne Harden, Helen Willett and Mary Jane Meyers.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bovey-Smith; his stepsons, Michael Smith (Lisa) of Dixon, IL, Douglas Smith of Dixon, IL and Steven Smith of Dixon, IL; his grandchildren, Danielle Grobe (Matt), Marissa Cullen (Matt), Joshua Smith, Jacob Smith, Nicole Lacroix and Mandy (Amanda); and his siblings, Janice Maves and Ed Harden of Dixon, IL. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
