He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Hess and Wilma Hess (Stainbrook); his wife Kathleen DeArvil; his son Steven Hess; his brothers, Robert Hess (Bobbie) and Richard Hess; and his pet Sophie.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald Scott Hess (Kelly) and Daniel Hess; his grandson Tyler Hess; and his sister-in-law Pat Hess of Dixon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Evangelical Congregational Church (131 N Court St, Dixon, IL 61021). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Bethel Evangelical Congregational Church, Rock River Hospice and Home.
