She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie O. Brookman and Ethel I. Brookman (Duncan); her husband Elijah "Jack" Hayes, Jr.; her brothers, Stanley, Oakley and James Brookman; and her daughter-in-law Toni Hayes.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Hayes (Tracy) of Pacific and Bryan Hayes (Susan) of Pekin, Illinois; her grandchildren, Alicia Mohesky (Jeff) of Pacific, Robert Hayes (Alyssa) of Denver, Breanna Fryer of Pekin, Bethany Hayes of Pekin, Eddie Konsewicz of Saint Louis and Frank Konsewicz (Jordan) of Saint Louis, Missouri; her great grandchildren, Jenna, Cole, Luke, Brody, Marlana, Max, Toby, Cora, Sophia and Theo; and her brother Alfred Brookman (Treasa) of Opdyke, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Norma's honor to Antioch Christian Church.
