Launda Pender Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2022, at the age of 98, Launda Pender of Dix, Illinois, born in Dongola, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Mina Melinda Keller (Lingle); her husband Forrest D. Pender; her parent Cecil Keller; her stepmother Inez Keller; her son Roger Dean Pender; her grandson Mark Allen Pender; and her sisters, Ruby Youngblood, Beatrice Dillow, Colleen Slusher and Joy Boch.
She is survived by: her son Michael Pender (Margaret) of Dix; her grandchildren, Michelle Mays (Rod) of Dix, Melinda Angles (Rob) of Centralia, Mamie Curtner (Adam) of Walnut Hill, Micki Newcomb (Nate) of Mascoutah and Mike Pender (Kelly) of Carlyle; her great grandchildren, Holly, Nick, Cody, Riley, Katie, Rusty, Shelby, Roger, Bobby, Kylie, Justin, Jack, Clara, Juanita, Garret, Joeli, Lane and Reid; her great great grandchildren, Brock, Cabrien, Rowen, Elric and Rin; and her sister Fae Bankert of Dongola. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Launda's Honor to the Tri-City Church of Christ or to SSM Hopsice and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Pender Family.
