It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Keith Eugene Heckler of Dix, Illinois, who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Walt Heckler; his sister Deborah Ann; and his brother-in-law Doug Ward. He is survived by: his mother Hazel Heckler (Raymer) of Walnut Hill; his wife Debby Heckler of Dix; his stepsons, Jeremy and Alex Sandy of Dix; his stepgrandchild Kyleigh Sinclair; his siblings, Linda Soard (Carl) of Villa Grove, Connie Ward (Dan) of Homer, Illinois and Jonathan Heckler of Sesser; his mother-in-law Germaine Bowdler of Texico; his siblings-in-law, Annette, Cindy, Gerri, Charlotte, Stephanie and Sidney; his close friend Rick Flanagan; and his brother Dave Rhodes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that everyone buy a child a fishing pole.
