With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Jean Howell of Dix, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on November 17, 2020 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar L. Keef and Edna E. Keef (Brown); and her sister Sharon Louise Carlton. She is survived by: her sons, Jamey Don Howell (Casey) of Mount Vernon and Aaron Lee Howell (Brenda) of Belle Rive; her grandchildren, Crystel Lynn Howell-Messmore, Matthew Brett Howell, Madison Marie Howell, Jamey Don Howell, Jr., Dominic Jaden Howell and Miranda Lee Howell; her great grandchildren, Elena Davis, Emma Messmore, Ethan Messmore and Elijah Messmore; and her siblings, Reverend Robert L. Keef (Becky) of Mount Vernon, Sue Smith (Marshall) of Mount Vernon, Ruth Keef of Mount Vernon and Helen Klevorn of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
