John Marke Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Marke of Dix, Illinois, born in Hamtramck, Michigan, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Marke and Sophie Marke (Wojciechowski); his wife Iva Berning; his son Bobby Marke; his daughter-in-law Dena Marke; and his brothers, Jim Marke and Arthur Marke.
He is survived by: his children, Collene DeKalb of Odin, Lorrene White of Odin, Sophie McMean (Mike) of Odin, Jim Marke (Pat) of Dix and Bill Marke (Diane) of Odin; and his sisters, Dorothy Mucci of Lansing and Margie Szumlinski of Caseville, Michigan. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Sandoval and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Marke Family.
