It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Evert Ellis (Dix, Illinois), who passed away on February 17, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd C. Ellis and Pauline Ellis (Carter); his wife Wilma Ellis; and his children, Jerry Allen Ellis (Gina) of Mt. Vernon, Paula Penrod (Paul) of Mt. Vernon and Marcia Scott (Mike) of Bluford. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
