He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Hutchison and Gladys "Georgie" Hutchison (Merkle); his sister Virginia "Ginny" Hutchison Atkins (Russ); his parents-in-law, Donald and JoAnn Ferguson; his siblings-in-law, Randy and Melissa; and his great-nephew Holdyn.

He is survived by: his wife Jolene Hutchison (Ferguson); his children, Christina Brunson (Philip), Tracy DeVore (Kyle), Teresa Hutchison, Jim Draege and David Draege (Mary); his grandchildren, Nick, Noah, Emma, Zak, Kaden (Courtney), Elsie, Madison (Nathan), Ava, Hendrix, Trinity (Kolton), Ryder, Lydia, Zion, Scarlett and Sicily; his siblings-in-law, Larry Ferguson (Vickie), Jeffrey and Diane Hostetler (Larry); and his nieces and nephews, Curtis, Heather, Chrissy, Jared, Stacey, Becca, Matt, Monique, Zack, Brad, John, Brandon and Quinton.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Boyd Christian Church (19844 N Boyd Ln, Dix, IL 62830-3418). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boyd Christian Church and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore St. in Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Gary's Family.
