He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Sherman and June Sherman. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Clemins; his sons, Chris Sherman of Mt. Vernon and Jeffry Sherman (Sandy) of Benton; his grandchildren, Casey Hanes, Emily Treatman, Amy Wilson, Sarah Smith, Zach Beaty, Jordana Fowler and Noah Beaty; his great grandchildren, Saige Hanes, Rebecca Hanes, Marley Treatman, Josie Treatman, Kiley Wilson, Colt Wilson, Brad Williams, Brody Hubbard, Ryelan Hubbard, Norah Fowler, Charlotte Fowler and Iris Fowler; and his sister Judy Lankhaar.
