He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas G. Britz and Ruby Britz-DeLay (Bounds); his former wife Hilda Britz; his daughter Pamela Britz-Freer; his siblings, Frank Britz and Martha Kaydus; and his stepfather Charles DeLay.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Wangen (Russell), Nicholas Britz, Denise Connelly (Timothy), Robert W. Britz Jr (Tammy Covi) and Bobbie Gail Britz (Nick O'Dea); his grandchildren, Robert Wangen (Brooke), Terrance Painter (April), Raina Kolba (James), Dustin Britz (Rachel), Rebecca Connelly, Jesse Britz, Tyler Connelly and Amanda Britz; and his siblings, Joseph Britz (Katherine), David Britz (Sandy), Helen Spann (K. C.), Cecelia Nickleson and Rosemary Maurer. He is also survived by grandkids, and three great great grandkids.
