With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John D. Duval of Divernon, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on July 2, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Duval and Elsie Duval Jr. (Shepherd); his wife Carol E. Rhodes; his daughters, Laurie Call (Brett Conner) and Dawn Smith (Todd); his grandchildren, Matthew Call Jr., Elizabeth Call, Peyton Conner, Joshua Smith (Nicole) of Austin, Hannah Smith and Hayden Smith; his siblings, Alfred "Bump" Duval III (Peggy), Jerry Duval (Shawn) and Mary "Kaye" McGinnis (Tom); and his cousins, Jim Shepherd (Dorothy) and Marianne Still (John). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
