He is survived by: his wife Susan Colvin (Adkins); his sons, David, Jonathan and Nathan; his grandchildren, Isabel, Kayleah, Davis, Gage and Evelyn; and his siblings, David Colvin and Susan Blood (Scott). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
