She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cornell and Clara Cornell (Lawrence); her spouse Celestine J. "Cel" Niemerg; her son-in-law Bruce "Joe" Brackney; and her siblings, Gertrude Smith, Bernadette Norman, Marie Hicks, Herman Cornell, Loretta Berchtold, George Cornell, Virgil Cornell, Richard Cornell and Madonna Bushur.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Brackney of Dieterich, Vicki Niemerg of Dieterich and Lori Bierman (Tim) of Wheeler; her grandchildren, William Brackney and Natalie Bierman; her stepgranddaughters, Bridget Bohnoff (Eric), Michelle Fatheree (Jimmy), Michelle Paine (Austin) and Stephanie Cox (Paul); her great grandchild Grant Galloway; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Briley and Berkley Bohnhoff; her siblings, Tom Cornell (Doris) of Effingham and Teresa Miller of Neoga; and her parents-in-law, Barbara Cornell, Rebecca Cornell, Larry Niemerg (Peggy), Evie McCreery and Jeanette Esker (Richard). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
