He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Brummer and Pauline Brummer (Schumacher); his niece Dana Brummer; his nephew Michael Zumbahlen; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Lucille Schoenekase.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Schoenekase; his children, Paul (Beth) of Dieterich, Joe (Marcy) of Dieterich, Andy (Jalyssa) of Stillwater, OK, Dan of Dieterich, Mary Lucy (Ken) of Dieterich, Jim (Dawn) of Dieterich and Rose Duran (Michael) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, Whitley, Travis, Randy, Trent, Olivia, Levi, Grace Brummer, Leah, Lane, Laurie, Lyla Brummer, Delayne, Sylas, Atley Brummer, Veronica, Cynthia Miramontes, Amber, Wade, Chet, Rave, Lucy Brummer, Arianna, Wesley and Lincoln Duran; and his siblings, Kenny (Judy), Mark Brummer (Linda) of Bishop, Sister Renita Brummer, Betty Zumbahlen (Bob), Maria Probst (Sam) of Sigel and Theresa Funneman (Larry) of Teutopolis.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (19812 1000th Ave, Dieterich, IL 62424). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to the Order of Franciscans or to the charity of the donor's choice.
