He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Niemerg and Catherine Niemerg (Voss); his siblings, Aloys, Delbert, Harold, Alberta Niemerg and Virginia Poeppelmeyer (Jim); and his great grandchild Gavin Corum.
He is survived by: his wife Lou Ann; his children, Doug (Debbie) of Teutopolis, Debbie Koester (Randy) of Teutopolis, Duane (Annette) of Dieterich, Darin (Lisa) of Teutopolis, Bridget Whiteside (Nick) of O'Fallon, IL, Brenda Hunzinger (Steve) of Dieterich and Brad of St. Louis; and his sisters, Stella Esker (Jim) of Teutopolis and Rosie Schumacher (Tony) of Teutopolis. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the donor's choice.
