She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Deimel and Henrietta Deimel (Ochs); and her siblings, Herman Deimel and Helen Crouse. She is survived by: her husband Gerald J. "Sam" Medernach of Dieterich; her son Jeffrey A. Medernach (Denise Roecker) of Groveland, Illinois.; her grandchildren, Jordan Medernach (Emily Maez), Janelle Esker (Blake) and Jaclyn Medernach (Dan Turgeon); and her brothers, Herb Deimel (Martha) of Ingraham, Illinois, Harold Deimel (Jeannie) of Newton, Illinois and Howard Deimel of Clay City.
In loving memory of Hermena, memorials may be made to the National Lymphedema Network Foundation.
