It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene James Meyer of Dieterich, Illinois, who passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Meyer and Irene Meyer (Niendick); his siblings, Gerald Meyer and Norma Jean Elmore; and his great grandchild Alexis Petticrew.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Meyer of Dieterich; his pet Lucky; his daughters, Genia Meyer (Phil McCoy), Cheryl Winterrowd (Terry) and Janice Westendorf (Roch); his grandchildren, Eric Petticrew (Meagan), Dustin Petticrew (Danielle Stoll), Charity Bohnhoff (Brent), Jamie Niemerg (Randy), Ashley Winterrowd (Megan), Adam Westendorf (Elizabeth Schroeder), Ryan Westendorf (Courtney) and Tyler Westendorf (Lyndsey Jansen); his sister Marie Sandschafer (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Loren Elmore and Marlene Meyer. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
